I have recently fitted front and rear reflectors on my recently acquired old MTB, not to conform with any laws but to catch the brake straddle wire should I break a brake cable on it's cantilever brakes.

They are silver in colour and the end cap unscrews which is integrated into the multi tool style kits, had mine 3 years now and been very good, even has a chain tool to

Just checked and they are still on halfords web site, it couldn't see the weight but they are not heavy in my opinion, they certainly don't make any noticeable difference to my mtb.

Surprisingly not, basically they are 2 multi tools that slide into the bar ends and screw into place using the end cap which us part of the multi tool.
I like them! Very handy!
I don't really worry about weight these days so looks like they would do the trick!

It should also be mentioned that the presence, or absence, of reflectors on the nations bicycles is not just low, it does not appear at all on the police's list of priorities.

I don't understand why some cyclists seem to want to make their bike less visible to the point of illegality, which doesn't matter because there is no enforcement.

Yes, you will get away with it, but do you really want to?

As a motorist, my eye has been caught by reflective sidewalls, front/rear reflectors and pedal reflectors.

Best to take them all off, then, in order to increase the risk of collision.

Not.
