Can't see another thread so hope its not duplicated.
So many tragic stories of people being flooded as this rain persists.
Warrington spent £millions on flood defences AND made an excellent job as they have added walk/cycle paths alongside.
Where we live we are fortunate. OK our gardens have lots of standing water and we back onto a stream but (as far as I can tell) no danger of flooding.

No, survived okay. We love close to the top of a ridge, so no prospect of flooding or suface fun off affecting is. This is cos my sisyers house flooded about 35 years ago, and I never forgot the lesson and kept that in mind when buyimg.

Yes,absolutely terrible! I mirror shined my boots last night,but the heavy rain while out walking today affected the mirror shine affect,making the boots look dull and tarnished!🧐
