I worked with someone whoes sister was on Deal or No Deal. I can't remember how much she won except that it was a reasonable sum.
I also know someone who was on Only Connect (which I had never heard of) and Eggheads.

A friend I've lost contact with now went on that challenge cooking show where two pro or celebrity chefs make a dish out of what the "contestants bring in. He turned up and a show backroom guy looked at what he bought and said "fish? Nobody's won with fish! " He didn't win but had a great time anyway. Plus came away with a good, new recipe.

I hope I'm not breaking the 'rules' of the title. I haven't been on a show, but a flat I once owned was on 'Homes under the Hammer'
Long story short...... during the 1990 property crash it had lost 30% value and the managing agents had raised the charges considerably - I found a guy who knew the legal loophole and was able to hand the keys to the Building Society. Keeping on top of what was occurring in case the BS 'got nasty' when we saw it for sale a couple of years after, we asked the estate agent what it was like and he said 'repossessed and trashed'. We certainly left it in good order, and lo-and-behold there it appeared on Homes UTH, where a couple of investment guys bought it at auction. The HUTH team went around each room, and pointed out 'great features you guys have added' which happened to be exactly as we'd left it!
We don't believe TV any more.... it's all made up.

Yes! I was on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire', but got the first question wrong!!

No, only kidding. I don't know anyone personally, but I have been vaguely involved with one or two over the years. There was not much for them to say I don't think, or more, not anything I really remember.

I was on a primary school quiz team in 1969 / 1970 for a program on Yorkshire Television. The presenter was Geoffrey Wheeler and Robert Harbin did Origami on it, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the program. Google hasn't provided any illumination either ☹️

Did he have to go to a Pawdition and all that? I mean, how does that even happen?

One of my mums friends used to provide dogs for TV in the 80’s. The dog has to be well trained and I guess you need an agent and you have to be available as the animal handler.
I can’t remember what programmes they did together but I seem to remember a scruffy dog in the sitcom Bread that she may have owned.

Long story but he is signed up with a company that provide animals to TV, films etc. They pick him up and do the on set handling. He is a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, so a bit specialised.
