Somewhere around 8-9000 miles per year, most of which is between March & November thanks to frequent trips to Snetterton, Brands Hatch & Silverstone, plus occasional visits to Nowrwich & Cambridge for gigs.

I put around £50 of fuel in the tank at the end of November and zeroed the trip meter, just before a 140 mile round trip to Cambridge and, as of yesterday, the trip meter reading is just under 250 miles and there's still 1/2 a tank of fuel left. In the first week of January alone, I did almost as many miles as that by bike!

Before changing jobs 15 months ago my annual mileage was around 4000 as the car was only used at weekends. I'm now doing about 18500 of which 15000 are commuting miles.

A friend of mine from Swindon took a job at McLaren in Woking a year or so ago. It's 4 hours commuting a day, 30,000+ miles a year but it's a great career move for him. He plans to work there for 2 years, get them on his CV and move on. Still, he's aged about 10 years in that time and he hardly sees his young family.

Used to drive 420 miles a week. For about 8 years. Then changed jobs to about 240 a week for 2 years now I cycle 2.89 miles to work. Don’t get any better than that for me. I hate driving now.
