This thread and especially the discoveries about unwanted registries etc., caused me to google myself and I have just discovered that I am on an unexpected database, but of a different kind - the Internet Movie Database! (because I was interviewed in some documentary film).

If you Google hard enough, you'll find that the IMDb is based on an idea by me!

I keep wondering whether I'm due a few million for the intellectual property rights....

And that's the REAL me, by the way - not someone who shares my name.

i.e. forename and surname, or even forename and middle names and surname?

I have an unusual English surname and one very unusual middle name, so it seems that I am the only person on planet Earth with my name, including middle names. Nevertheless, it seems there are 3 other people in the UK, 14 people in the USA and Canada (combined) and 5 people in Australia with my forename and surname. I am something of a rarity then! There's only 23 of us in the world! (that can be found by Google, anyway).

How about you?

I thought I was the only person with my name, but someone on Facebook with exactly the same name found me. The really freaky bit is that our families are both from teh same town in County Roscommon, Eire. Maybe we're twins....

I have a fairly common forename. My middle name is after a famous F1 motor racing driver's forename. My surname, although Cornish, can be described as oriental .......... how is that for confusion

Apparently there are 7 people called "Richard Boocock" (snigger ...)

If that was my name, I swear I would change it by deed poll ...

There are two Boococks in the rail industry (I've met one) who, between them, seemed to have written most of the early post-privitisation (or just prior) standards. And they are not related.

Oh crap, I looked up my unusual number based* second name and there are 366 of us apparently.

Still only one Douglas (The) _____ though.

* - Actually it is a corruption of a Danish word apparently.
