How old do you have to be before you have to tell everyone how old you are?

As folk get older, they just have to tell you how old they are, usually in the first sentence uttered. "I'm 64 you know"

I'm getting worried as I might have to start doing this within a year or so...

I'm 62 you know!!

My grandma was 21 until the day she died. And then we got hold of the birth certificate and discovered we'd always celebrated her birthday on the wrong day.

I tend to say 19 as that was the year just before proper responsibility kicked in remember those days when life was just so simple.

Perversely, my first wife, always searching for compliments would add a few years when asked and sure enough the next line was "Well, my dear you don't look it at all !"
