I thought it was past perfect and past imperfect?
Perfect being "I sat", imperfect being "I was sitting"
he didn't use the past perfect, that would be "I had sat, you had sat" etc.
I was sitting - (past) imperfect - sedebam
I sat - (pissed) perfect - sedi
I had sat - pluperfect - sederam
I was sat in the BrewDog in Shoteditch just now
In rr's case, if he had his trousers down so said visitors could view astonishing calf development, cacabam, perhaps.

Shoreditch is more than simple hipsterbait – it is an area of constant re-invention. Our BrewDog bar encapsulates that, serving a continually-changing selection of cutting-edge craft beer and amazing food. It is the very spirit of East London."

I remember Shoreditch when it really was part of the East End. Boarded up run down buildings, corrugated iron hoardings round waste land, and dodgy locals pubs full of the sort of characters you wouldn't want to make an enemy of. No poncey overpriced "craft" beer in sight. And no blokes with funny looking beards either.

I know the owner of a pub in Bow Road, he's quite dodgy. Every time I see him he tells me there's a pint behind the bar for me, must be enough there now to get properly out of my tree.
