Gary, I'm so sorry to hear that. My marriage fell apart 9 years ago and it nearly pushed me over the edge, I can relate to your pain. You'll go through the whole spectrum of emotions but far too many have been there, you're not alone brother.

PM me if you want to chat.

Steve.

Gaz, I haven't any advice to give you because I wouldn't know what to do either, but hope you get somewhere to stay and get settled so you and your children can get a base to re-start your lives.... setting out on a fresh new day.
Wishing you all the very best!

I'm really sorry to hear about your family situation Gaz - good luck trying to sort it out.

If you need any help proof-reading your book, PM me (I am assuming that you are still going down the self-publishing route). If you want to get your book on the Amazon Kindle Select programme, do not publish any of it elsewhere or you won't be able to.

I wish you all the best - it is a difficult step but often the first one is the hardest.

p.s. You need to proofread your page, it is, unfortunately, full of typos etc...

I'm a child survivor, go and seek counselling for both you and your children as soon as possible.

As with cisamcgu above, your page needs proof-reading. I'm guessing people are put off by that - happy to contribute, since I'm one of those you inspired, but edit the page first  . Otherwise people will simply think it's another Nigerian 419-type scam.

On another note, I hope you're able to find accommodation, etc. Not just for yourself, but the child you have with you. I've not been in your position, but know some who have and it's not easy. You've done the hardest bit though. :hugs:

Hi Gaz,

No changing of text, just cleaning up your own words. Copy and paste this into the blog:

On Friday last week I removed myself from an abusive and controlling marriage.
I wanted to take both of my children, however, one chose to come, the other to stay with my soon to be ex-wife.

I have decided that as I love them both equally I'll fight for both, it’s the very least I, as a father, owe them.

I'm not going into details here about my soon to be ex (that’s for the book) but during the last 4 years on my blog, the former 39 stone cyclist, I’ve been told that I’ve helped many people lose weight, make positive changes in people’s lives, by being so honest about saving my life, so if I’ve helped you save money on food bills by cutting down or stopping smoking or helped you with a bike choice or inspired you in any other way, then I’m asking for you to help, chip in and help us out in our hour of need.

I left with just the clothes on my back and only one of my children; I need to put that right. Your donations will help pay for the best lawyers there are and give my kids the fresh start that they are deserving of.

Anyone who contributes, no matter how big or small, will be mentioned in the book I am writing about my journey. So please help all you can, post this page everywhere and let’s hope to make it viral.

Thank you

Gaz

Hope that makes it easier.

Best regards

Chris

There are more male and family hostels in Manchester than there are single female hostels. Just go to your local council.

OK - you probably need to get an internet cafe/library to clean it up, or use G2EWS's text above.

Contribution added; if someone's already donated something others may start to as well. However, I'm not sure you've inspired any savings - see the bike cost below
