I think, for me, it would have to be inflating a tyre.

Funnily enough, I enjoy most other jobs, and that includes fixing a puncture.

Cleaning it is the one thing I hate doing. I'd rather be riding it. I don't mind doing any other maintenance as that's what keeps it running properly.

Buy yourself an electric compressor, and if you have presta valves an adaptor.

For on the road re-inflation a CO2 inflator does the business.

I'll add a vote for setting up brakes (so they don't squeal).

IME brakes are hateful only when they're cheap (or elderly) ones that are never going to perform well anyway: I replaced the 1980s Weinmanns on my fixie with deep drop dual pivot Tektros recently, and the pleasure I got from doing the job is only marginally outweighed by the pleasure I now get from actually being able to stop when I need to :-) . Setting up mudguards so they don't rub is the job I least like. Though I'd add "cutting steerers" if I did it more often

It seems that setting brake blocks is not a very popular job. I can't say that I like doing it but since it's not often I do this then it's not a big deal for me. Inflating tyres is a weekly event hence my hate for it. Just when you want to get out quickly the tyres need air :cursing:
