Click on settings, scroll down and click on About tablet, you then should see an option to search for firmware upgrades.
It was easy and painless, you just need it plugged in charging before you start with a good wifi signal.

hope this helps Sean

What tab have you got Brewer? Is it an official ICS update? Nice to hear ICS is being rolled out now. Like I said above, I have no issues with Honeycomb but if there's an upgrade to be had might as well have it^_^

Archos mate the same as Davids, update is through Archos.
Honeycomb was a tad slow on the tablet, but its much better under ICS

How much was the tab ? I have HP Touchpad at the moment which I got when they sold them off but I think I am going to put it on ebay as never really use it but I might use an Android tablet as I can use all the apps I have already bought for my phone.

I just got a new HTC Desire S and I am loving Android now that I have a bit more speed and memory (I had a wildfire before) I have dumped my Blackberry (RIP Blackberry in the near future I think) and I have no regrets it is excellent and so flexible

Seriuos bargain at the moment. I was very happy - PC World / Currys had them reduced from £399 to £279 (online only) - but now got an extra 10% off!!

Are there plenty of Tablet versions of apps available for it ?

I'm not sure. All the apps I've downloaded work really well and look fine. I'm not sure they are all tablet versions, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes. All the apps I have wanted so far have been on the Android Market, I've downloaded quite a few and the only one I have had to pay for was Riptide (for the kids to play:whistle:). Some top tips for Apps; Pulse, TuneIn Radio, Google search (love the voice search), Google talk, gmail, BBC News, Iplayer, Dropbox, Angry Birds, Skymap, Footmob (football scores and news). If you like live wallpapers check out Radiant Particles.

I also like the fact there is a very useable file manager and an application manager which I've put on my homescreen as shutting stuff down on Android is not always as easy as it should be. The 8.9 comes with Polaris Office which handles MS Office, Excel etc really well and has a very good speech to text function.

When you went to the checkout did it knock 10% off the £279 coz it isnt doing it for me.

Just had a phone call from currys and they are going to honour the extra 10% off, even though it was an advertising error, plus I also get a £10 voucher to spend on anything during April and another email informs me that is has been despatched.

My HP Touchpad is now on ebay to cover some of the cost of the Galaxy.

So if you count the extra £10 voucher you've got the Galaxy for £240 quid. That is one hell of a bargain:thumbsup: Mine was dispatched quickly too, iirc I ordered on the Saturday and it arrived Tuesday.

I notice they are not advertising the extra 10% off anymore!!

I ordered this case. It was a bit pricey, but it is good quality and looks the business.

Bet you can't wait for it to arrive:becool:
