I'm not sure. All the apps I've downloaded work really well and look fine. I'm not sure they are all tablet versions, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes. All the apps I have wanted so far have been on the Android Market, I've downloaded quite a few and the only one I have had to pay for was Riptide (for the kids to play

). Some top tips for Apps; Pulse, TuneIn Radio, Google search (love the voice search), Google talk, gmail, BBC News, Iplayer, Dropbox, Angry Birds, Skymap, Footmob (football scores and news). If you like live wallpapers check out Radiant Particles.
I also like the fact there is a very useable file manager and an application manager which I've put on my homescreen as shutting stuff down on Android is not always as easy as it should be. The 8.9 comes with Polaris Office which handles MS Office, Excel etc really well and has a very good speech to text function.
