That getting into the unaffordable range , especially if you want a zip, extra long and wide if you are tall and move about in your sleep when you look at the versions available it would be another £ 200. But it probably fits into a small stuff sack😄.

Depends on your finances. Unaffordable for some, a good investment for others. I have a PHD down bag that’s over 20 years old now. I’d say I’ve got good value out of it.

These are our summer sleeping bags we are using now, North Face goose down Kilo bags.Probably 17-20 years old .nearly bought new bags but had them cleaned for £50. Camped out a few times over 2000m, have had big winds from the north over the last week, just wore merino top and longs if needed. Look at the labels North Face gives temp ratings ,blue is risk. We always look at NF first if we need sleeping bags, have the winter bags very warm but are bulky even with good goose down.

Just a suggestion - get a normal lightweight bag and add a heavy duty survival bivvy when needed ? I’ve got one packed away so can’t remember name but for a short holiday it’s right for me - may not suit your needs🤷‍♂️

More or less what I have been doing, it's a bit too bulky which I was wanting to spoil myself

I have a North Face bag too, a Blue Kazoo, about 13 years old. I woke up to ice on my tent in Aviemore and had been plenty warm enough overnight without resorting to wearing a coat. It compresses down to a cube about 23cm
