Looking for a super bright rear lamp

Hi

My current light is around 50 lumens which is reasonably bright. but I would like to get a brighter rear light that I can use during daylight to be seen better.

I have looked around and there are some a lot brighter but I would like to get some pointers on what you think is best/brightest..

I want it to be saddle bag mounted

I use a Lezyne Zecto Drive USB rechargeable one. I like it on dull days as much as at night. It has 5 modes, one which lasts about 2 weeks without going flat. I use it in my Audax saddle bags too. Hook or rubber cinch.

Super bright is probably more a turn of phrase rather than any real description of the light you are looking for but obviously you don't need it too bright.

1 candle power = 12.57 lumens according to my google search and I have an old Smart 0.5W rear light, the current version is rated at 110 lumen which equates to 110x12.57 = 1380 lumen!

Are you sure your current light is only 50 lumen?

I have to question your reason for wanting to run day time lights. IME I only find it desirable to run day time lights when it is seriously overcast or where I am cycling in an area where there is a lot of patchy shade and the contrast between shade and bright areas is high. TBH if the drivers are not looking, or are doing mega lunacy warp speed, then no amount of lights are going to help. Road positioning and awareness of the surroundings are your best defence. Using daytime lights might be an effective comfort blanket but in reality will most likely do bugger all for your actual safety.

I use the cheap ones and a bike hut 50 lumen one, seems plenty bright to me.
If the driver isnt looking you wont be seen with a million lumens

I think some people complain about the run time in the brightest mode but I use it in the Day light Flash mode which is claimed 10.5hours and because of the recharge light I've not an issue; other lights I've had in the past would just cut out no warning this gives me a warning light so I've never had it cut out.

The Four4th Scorpian is supposed to be the best day light running light on the market but its 5x the price and I don't know if it could be clipped onto a saddle bag like the Sabre 80.

I would like to big up this Aldi USB rechargeable light.
It only costs £12.99 and it is VERY VERY bright. I ordered on e online. I have had all sorts of top end lights before and this beats them all.

I am only using quiet country roads at the moment and a majority of cars I do see are great, just the odd idiot on a race track lol .... the brighter the better

I have been going out early morning just as it's getting light and although they are quite country roads with little traffic and I am still not 100% confident then I just want an "extra" see me ... especially from behind..

Level 2 is bright enough on these. Level 4 is insane !
