* Part of Lager's problem is that a) there is too much crap, Stella, Carling, Fosters, Carlesberg etc and B) it's always served too cold.
I agree - proper lager (especially Belgian and Czech) is delicious.
There's a lovely organic lager they sell on draught around Goodwood - they brew it there along with an organic ale. Fantastic, both of them.
In the winter I go for thr ale, but in the summer you can't beat a cool lager.
You can also buy bottles of it in the Goodwood farm shop if you're in the area
