At 61 I'm a MAMIL and my regular cycling buddy is 62 but faster than me. Recently we've been joined by a 63 year-old and a 36 year-old and my own son aged 18, when he can be bothered to get up. We have a Watsapp group and the banter on there and on rides and in cafes is a hell of a lot of fun and I think it's very beneficial for an 18 y.o to be mixing and socialising with older males. We may be old but we can do a 10 mile TT with 275 feet of climb in under 30 minutes, which I reckon is respectable.
