Just picked up a bmc pure pro2 shimano 105 version for the miniscule sum of £120, saw it on shpock and after a little bit of googling decided it was a bmc streetracer painted different.
Does anyone know if this is true?
Its a cracking bike but looks a bit girly!! do I embrace the whiteness or opt for a re-colour?? (probably powdercoat)

This is the colour scheme

did people think it looked girly maybe ? Did I care nope.

I really like that, well apart from the zig zagged seatpost

One of my bikes is white, really hard to keep the frame clean.
Other than that, if you like it, enjoy it as it is.

I don't see why you should be concerned over the color!

As @mark st1 post above reminds me, there's something quite nice about girly colors on aggressive-style mans roadies, the contrast is nice.

But that only really works for me on a frame that's aggressive and still having some more sinister looking colors like black to surround it,

With your bike however, I feel like a color change wont do a whole lot for it, it's not aggressive enough to benefit properly from some nice sinister colors.

besides there's merit in not liking the paint somewhat - You won't be complaining when you scrape it against the tarmac
