Down to £2,000 from £2,060?

Well, I do admit to being partial to the occasional bag of Revells.

During the pea and green bean processing seasons around the 1980s where I used to work they (well some used to) smoke dried bean leaves that scattered the factory
I tried once.. that was once too many.
Desperation can drive people to desperate things eh ?

When there was too much ash at the end, did they... Erm... Flick the bean... Leaf?

Yeah, sorry. 🤦‍♂️😆

Instead of buying new vacuum cleaner filters I chuck the used ones in an old pillowcase and bung them in the washing machine with the laundry. I get 4 or 5 uses out of them before they require replacing, which saves my change purse a tenner a time and reduces the amount going into landfill.

So what money saving hints and tips do you fine folk have?
If you had put them in an old pillowcase, then in the used bath water, but surely not in with the laundry.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I knew someone who did this with letters.

My brother-in-law and his now ex-wife did this with the Order of Service for their wedding, having used someone else's and Tippexed the names out.

Note that they also got SWMBO and myself to get and display the flowers plus buy wedding shoes on the day of the wedding, together with me using my Mercedes E-class as the wedding car, doing the photographs and sewing the bride into her dress as she'd got larger since doing measurements. The reason for which appeared 5 months later ...

And no, they weren't from Yorkshire.

Learn to moonwalk...for those occasions when entering a pub with others. You look like your walking to the bar but will always be last there...just as someone gets the round in.

Boil your kettle about 10 minutes before you make a cup of tea. When you go to make your tea 10 minutes later, the kettle will boil in a fraction of the time thus saving energy and money.

Or be super smart. Boil lots of water in one batch then freeze it so you can simply reheat whenever you need.
