Hmm... :scratch: I could certainly find you some very pot-holed, be-gravelled and muddy "roads" that are impassable by any bicycle that can't take big fat tyres. Farm machinery chews up tarmac like it's going out of fashion, and it's a challenge often just to stay upright. :blush:

Another vote for Ergon GA3. The wings are on the smaller side for size compared to others, which I prefer.

I just use the cheap Decathlon rubber grips, I wear gloves anyway, I have tried the fancy expensive ergons in the past but just found them odd and uncomfortable, they just lacked a bit of feel. I fitted a set of cheap grips about 5 years ago as a stop gap and they’re still on the bike.
