I fell over in the street today. Not sure I tripped on anything but one minute upright the next blam, floor. Bruises in a couple of places and my shoulder is telling me it doesn't appreciate meeting the ground at speed.

For me, some years ago, it was one of those wire rings inside hubcaps, like having your feet tied together. Embarrassing.

Swollen face noticeably less so this morning so decided against a trip to A&E. 38 mile car journey on work matters instead and after only one reasonable nights sleep (last night) since last Friday/Saturday was beginning to feel a bit tired towards its end. Noted plenty of cyclists making use of the fine if slightly windy weather.

I've just had my 5th covid vaccine. Normally you have to be 75+ to be eligible but I'm slightly immuno-compromised so qualify that way.

Just arrived at Ely station on the way to Nottingham. Somewhere in one of carriages there's a baby crying loudly and, judging by the aroma, I think the parent has just changed it on one of the tables instead of using the accessible toilet with the necessary facilities 💩

Don't surprise me once spotted someone going the same thing on the floor of a shopping centre. Feet away from the baby changing room.

Cloudy early doors, but it's a lovely sunny spring day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and spent the morning doing some writing and tinkering with the mower. I have it on the battery charger, and then this afternoon, I need to finish rebuilding the steering and front end. It took ages for the parts to turn up (mower is rather elderly), and now, at last, I have a full complement of pieces. The final bit in the puzzle was the doodad that locks the steering arm in place on the stub axle, and without it, the steering is as mushy as a mushy thing.

And yes, I did try it sans doodad, but let's just say the trial didn't last terribly long.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.
