It's been a bright, mild and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard after the overnight rain. Other than a few spits and spots, we largely escaped the showers - could see them sliding either side of us, with both Littleport and Pymoor getting duckings instead.
Slept really well, but still feel somewhat fragile. But there's been a distinct lack of rear end explosions today, so whatever it was seems to be out of my system. I had a gentle but choresy morning - amongst other things, I picked tomatoes, watered the planters (not enough rain overnight and the tomato plants were a bit wilted), got rid of the dead growth on my sage bush and re-stocked some bits in the cupboards.

Spent most of the afternoon tinkering in the garage. That loose connection doesn't spark the mower to life. Without looking at the wiring diagram, I suspect it's the connection for the seat sensor. I've marked the wires with masking tape so I know which ones they are. The battery is fully charged, and I can't see any obvious issues with the wiring, so we're now looking at a bust fuse, I think.
Also got the correct saddles back on their bicycles. The white charge ladle went back onto the road bike, and the black & blue one I bought from Vickster is now on the Hotrock. Plus I spent some more time removing the encrusted grime off the Hotrock. A rather nice bicycle is starting to emerge from its state of chronic neglect. I took the opportunity to re-clean the drive train (I'd sprayed it all over with GT85 to start with, and it's had a couple of weeks to soak in), and then lubricate the chain properly.
That done, I went for a bimblette to check on that hazel bush that's provided me with so many nuts. The bike rides SO much smoother for the drivetrain having been cleaned and oiled. Picked the last of the hazelnuts, and also got the first walnuts of the season, as there's a couple of trees nearby. Also spotted some blackberries that look like an escaped "cultivated" variety, as the fruits are so much bigger than the tiddly wild ones. I shall be going back tomorrow with a tupperware...
Cat has been fed (Felix AGAIL with turkey & liver) and soon it will be time to feed me.
