No the Hospital will send any results to the GP's surgery in a report, whether the GP reads it or not is another matter entirely.
Hmmm.
I had blood test done 1st August as required per renal team (hospital). Few days later GP surgery phoned me (medications review) and said "book a blood test with us". I told them I had a test few days ago.
Then yesterday got a text message "book a blood test at the surgery" and all my meds prescription have been reduced to 7 days instead of 28 days.
So it's either my misunderstanding how things work or my GP surgery are a bunch of Brussels sprouts.

A very good lunch has been had - possibly assisted by my brother in law (who my stepfather really doesn't get on with) being at work. Just over a couple of hours of relaxed chatting, eating & drinking at one of our preferred places (The Westerfield Railway pub just outside Ipswich).
Mum & stepfather were delivered home about 30 seconds before a thunderstorm deluged the area.

I'm now trying to resist the urge for a quick snooze.

That's unkind to sprouts.

Typical NHS balls-up, did the Hospital send your blood test result to you, if so take that letter into the GP surgery. If not then you'll have to have another blood test. :hugs:

Just checked my emails and there's one from Specsavers received this afternoon (11/09/25) starting with "Your eye test is due on 08/09/25 - Booking is quick and easy"

As it pointed out that I'm now entitled to a free eye test due to being 60 years old which I didn't know about, I'll forgive the date slip and may book up for when I have some time at the end of the month.

That doesn't sound right as your same medical record should be available to both
I tend to use my GP for blood tests requested by the hospital and sure enough today got a call from the hospital re the blood test I had at the GP yesterday. Might be worth checking they both have yout details exactly the same.

It's been a bright, mild and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard after the overnight rain. Other than a few spits and spots, we largely escaped the showers - could see them sliding either side of us, with both Littleport and Pymoor getting duckings instead.

Slept really well, but still feel somewhat fragile. But there's been a distinct lack of rear end explosions today, so whatever it was seems to be out of my system. I had a gentle but choresy morning - amongst other things, I picked tomatoes, watered the planters (not enough rain overnight and the tomato plants were a bit wilted), got rid of the dead growth on my sage bush and re-stocked some bits in the cupboards.

Lovely luncheon of a chunk of tiger baguette with cheese & coleslaw and a :cuppa:

Spent most of the afternoon tinkering in the garage. That loose connection doesn't spark the mower to life. Without looking at the wiring diagram, I suspect it's the connection for the seat sensor. I've marked the wires with masking tape so I know which ones they are. The battery is fully charged, and I can't see any obvious issues with the wiring, so we're now looking at a bust fuse, I think.

Also got the correct saddles back on their bicycles. The white charge ladle went back onto the road bike, and the black & blue one I bought from Vickster is now on the Hotrock. Plus I spent some more time removing the encrusted grime off the Hotrock. A rather nice bicycle is starting to emerge from its state of chronic neglect. I took the opportunity to re-clean the drive train (I'd sprayed it all over with GT85 to start with, and it's had a couple of weeks to soak in), and then lubricate the chain properly.

That done, I went for a bimblette to check on that hazel bush that's provided me with so many nuts. The bike rides SO much smoother for the drivetrain having been cleaned and oiled. Picked the last of the hazelnuts, and also got the first walnuts of the season, as there's a couple of trees nearby. Also spotted some blackberries that look like an escaped "cultivated" variety, as the fruits are so much bigger than the tiddly wild ones. I shall be going back tomorrow with a tupperware...

Cat has been fed (Felix AGAIL with turkey & liver) and soon it will be time to feed me.

A truly awful day. I got completely drookit on the morning perambulation. I thought I would get away without an umbrella, but that was a mistake.

Work finished for this week as I have Friday and Monday off. Undecided what to do tomorrow, I will see what the weather looks like.

I ventured out for a walk around the park after work and took an umbrella this time. I was pleased I did as some horrible showers.
