Sinced being knocked off my bike. The paramedic (who is a cyclist) said "There are a lot of bad drivers about, You really do need to get a helmet"
I have looked into it and I believe unless its a good snug fit all over it does not give proper protection
due to the way the foam collapses, as this removes the kinetic energy. Plus they are only rated
"weight of an average cyclist's head travelling for 6 feet" Which is a man falling off his bike (not an impact collision with a vehicle):bicycle:
What is the best on the market for ease of good fit and protection

Many Thanks

You need to go into a good shop and try them on. Everyone's head is shaped differently, and there are different sizes as well. Also look at how the tightening system works. If you are after best 'tested' protection (without wanting to start a helmet debate!) it seems that the only manufacturer who makes Snell certified helmets is Specialized; and from reading enough helmet threads in the past that seems to be the best testing out there (whether it's adequate or not is of course another question).
