    It's the di2 etube cable which goes to the junction box

    Mmm,minimalist 1x set-up possible? Wonder if you could fit it to road bars?

    Above shifter,XT mech, battery,couple of ports, battery a few cables :unsure:

    Will have to check the new Shimano catalogue and docs to see what it will and won't play with.

    It's actually their e7000 ebike control switch, but also works with di2 through the etube set-up

    I'll be running my xt rear mech with it on my cube ebike

    No, its not just you. Im sure in terms of function it's A1, but wires, non existent styling...one gets the impression Shimano didn't invest a lot in the project. To be fair, it's probably not a huge earner for them.

    Already possible. The head honcho of Kinesis UK has had this kind of set-up on his Tripster for several years, using non-STI brake levers with satellite buttons stuck on for rear shifting.
