Hi again, as part of my refit of my MTB I'd like to upgrade the saddle for something more comfortable.
The bike still has the saddle that came with it from new and it's not at all comfortable, very hard and generally unpleasant for me personally.
I appreciate they are a very personal ergonomic thing but just to get me started in the right direction a few suggestions would be good?
I'm 5'8" and currently around 13st although that will come down once I start cycling and running again.
I don't have skinny legs, especially at the top of the thigh but it's more muscle than fat.
My inside leg length (if that's relevant for this) is around 30".
The majority of riding pain and discomfort seems to be in my perineum area and between my buttocks, not the tops of my legs or inner thigh so much.
I plan on (hopefully) rides of between 5 miles up to say 20 or even more as I get fitter and more used to cycling but that won't happen if it's uncomfortable and therefore unpleasant.
I know there is a little of just getting used to it but I don't see why it should be this unpleasant.
Thanks in advance.
