I have health issues with certain foods so have to think carefully about what I eat. My go-to foods are:
Soreen Malt loaf
Rice Crispie cereal bars
Yo-yo bear dried fruit strips
Rice cakes (salt and vinegar, for preference)

…and then sandwiches. I tried peanut butter and didn’t like it. I prefer savoury foods rather than sweet.

I try to eat little when I'm on the bike. That way I have plenty of excuses why everyone is overtaking me.

If it's a hard shift, and I'm not finding my rhythm, a beer. Refreshed AND I keep the aforementioned excuse.
