The Lunar crab is the only specie to require a caraspace, all others make do with a regular carapace.

The unpleasent infection of the undercarriage, crabs, originally found it's way into the human biosphere as a result of poor people using crab paste as a substitute for KY jelly. The disease lobsters is truly a sight to behold.
