In the '70s, larvae lamps were very popular.
To save ink, and also so the name would fit on the box, they transmogrified into Lava Lamps 🌋

The ancient Romans of Pompeii used real lava in their lava lamps. Sadly, overmining of the precious lava caused Vesuvius to explode, and that was that.

The Victorians made another go at lava mining, but the explosion of Krakatoa completely destroyed their lava production facilities.

Today artificial lava, made from uranium, is used.

Welsh people make bread from lava. It is imported from a volcano in Iceland, in specially designed thermos flasks to keep it warm.

Thermos flasks are regarded as being one of the miracles of modern science. Despite having no moving parts and no electronic components, they are able to keep hot things hot and cold things cold. Science has not yet determined how these completely passive objects are able to decide which one they should do.

After NASA was disbanded by President Reagan, the unemployed rocket scientists opened a chain of small grocery stores. Legal difficulties meant they could not reuse the NASA name.
To save some money, they re-used their existing uniforms, but scraped off part of the logo. Hence NISA was born.
