It was 86 Fahrenheit in my flat on Tuesday night. It was a bit stuffy, even for me who can feel cold if it drops below 80 Fahrenheit. I put my dehumidifier on for a few hours, moving it every now and then to let its fan face each room in my small flat. The humidity dropped a lot when the dehumidifier sucked a few pints of water out the air, making the still 86 Fahrenheit much more pleasant. I used to think that when it'd been hot and dry for a few days there wouldn't be any humidity, but having used a dehumidifier since last spring/summer I'm surprised how much water there is in the air even on hot dry days!

I was keeping a close eye on my heart rate and power so most of the time I was able to ride at 95-135 bpm and 100-160 W.

I came to one steep ramp though and I was going so slowly that I was wobbling all over the road. 'Blow this!', thought I, leaping out of the saddle, and stomping on the pedals. My power spiked up to 350+ W for a short burst to get me to the top and by then my heart was doing 140+ bpm!

Ive had my feet in cold water for over an hour - main reason is left foot has swollen up for some reason. Just started a bit sore on Monday and by Wednesday could hardly walk on it. It's also on my bad leg (knackered hip) so could be 'related' to walking a bit wonky on it at weekend - rough 40 mile gravel ride Saturday, then a fair bit of walking on Sunday. Hip was sore.

Got the fan on downstairs to keep the fluffy cats cool. One isn't happy I won't let him into the catio until about 8pm. He's been out this morning until the sun came round the back.
