It was 86 Fahrenheit in my flat on Tuesday night. It was a bit stuffy, even for me who can feel cold if it drops below 80 Fahrenheit. I put my dehumidifier on for a few hours, moving it every now and then to let its fan face each room in my small flat. The humidity dropped a lot when the dehumidifier sucked a few pints of water out the air, making the still 86 Fahrenheit much more pleasant. I used to think that when it'd been hot and dry for a few days there wouldn't be any humidity, but having used a dehumidifier since last spring/summer I'm surprised how much water there is in the air even on hot dry days!
