Phones falling out of pockets

For the third time I’ve had phone fall out of my pocket while cycling. This time it has not been returned, I am going to have to submit an insurance claim. I tend to buy largish phones but noted that one pair of my trousers hasn’t got very deep pockets. So once every 2/3 yrs I get home only to realise that I am minus one phone! I doubt that this is uniquely my affliction and it has happened to others. What solutions have others employed to prevent this and to what success?

Bum bag.
Pocket of a Jersey.
Frame: corner bag.
Leave it at home 🤣

How about carrying your replacement phone in something like THIS hanging round your neck and tucked into your jersey?

Jersey back-pocket if I'm stopping for photos, or in the saddlebag.

I use Le Col & Castelli jerseys mostly and the pockets are deep enough for big phones not to fall out.

My phone kept falling out of the shallower pockets of some new shorts I wore this summer.

The purchase of a really grippy rubber phone case stopped this happening entirely.

Simple rule never put anything valuable in an unzipped shorts or trousers pocket. Rear jersey pocket on the road bike, inner jacket pocket or in the rucksack when shopping/commuting.

My largish phone goes in the lower pocket of my cargo shorts, just about.

Mine is kept in the side bag of my trike which is equivalent to a handlebar bag. Off the trike I have a belt pouch so it is always with me. I slipped and fell on wet grass at the top of my garden last year and realised if I had broken anything nobody would see or hear me so it is now always with me.
