Maybe an "Alton Towers" ride.

That's Alton (Hampshire) to Alton (Derbyshire) , which looks convenient for a Peak District break.

Via any one of many towers to add interest along the way.

Nothing to do with the Theme Park whatsoever. It's not that i dislike the rides (quite the reverse)... just my protest that they got rid of the Thunderlooper.

Cromer (Herts) to Cromer (Norfolk) could be a goer. It's a shade over 100 miles IIRC.
Kings Langley to Kings Lynn would be a bit further...

Or

Cocks to Bulls Cross if you want to write a story about it.

There are also 2 River Esks in England and 2 North Esks , 2 South Esks and 2 Esks (one of which is a joining of 2 of the afore mentioned N&S Esks) in Scotland which would be combined into a mammoth Esk circular ride.

Actually the English Esks would make a good coast to coast, Mouth of the Esk to Mouth of the Esk, Ravenglass to Whitby.
The Cumbrian Esk rises near Skafell Pike, but you can follow it up as far as Hardknott, then through the Dales, picking up the Ure for a good while, before heading off to the Moors and picking up the N York's Esk at Westerdale to follow it down to Whitby. A variation on the Walney to Whitby route.

If you want to do a different north of England coast to coast, you could always ride from Sunderland to Sunderland:

Or maybe not always:
