Not an excuse to call anyone pigs though, is it.
Haha oops obviously not funny to everyone.Yes, my daughters boyfriend (A Welsh pig) thinks it's funny and always refers to himself that way. Most coppers take it as a joke??

Is that your go-to expression for the police?

thinks it's okayCharming if it is!
I know you're a police officer but the police here do bugger all. I know it's the governments fault but what do you expect? The police these days are useless!
Are you sure?the French
Well, in these times of austerity we do have to manage demand......How do you know these things, is it from personal experiences.

That's bloody awful but under NO circumstances should you involve the police. You'll only regret it as they will be worse than useless, expect you to do all the work and once you're on their system, they'll piss you about and regard you as a nuisance. Do not get the police involved no matter what well-intentioned people on here are suggesting.Just finished the commute home from work during which I got pulled off my bike by some p*ssed up idiots whilst waiting for the traffic lights to change at the end of Lombard Street at its junction with Gracechurch Street. Wrong place at the wrong time. I took a kick to my back that thankfully was mostly cushioned by my rucksack but I did manage to pull one of them over and ensured that he can't eat his Christmas dinner as a few of his teeth are now on the pavement there. The rest then ran off pretty quickly. Unfortunately no police were about at the time.
So do I report this to the police or not? Would it be a waste of time as no real damage has been done and I couldn't identify the group if I tried? I didn't really see them as they were behind me when they pulled me off the bike.
I don't think this is the thread to discuss it really. I don't generally try to change opinions, but I am intrigued to see the ones being aired on this one. And anyway, they still haven't found my video, and they've had since 1988 to catch them.Where is the austerity hitting hardest? How many fewer police than say 30 years ago. I am sure many do the best they can and have my full support, as in all things though there will be a few leg swingers who need getting out.
I still find it hard to believe so many people are saying do not report a crime, as I said earlier no wonder the figures are coming down,
But if we think you went over the to in your response, you're feet won't touch,Reporting crime
If you've been the victim of a crime or think you have witnessed one, you should report it to the police straight away. Your information could be used to prevent other crimes and help keep other people safe.
The law does not place much value on who started the incident or how many were involved on one side. What they look for is an event or action that breaches the law. If I decked a drunk who jabbed me in the ribs for a bit of fun, and he suffered grevious injury, I would be charged. My actions went overboard. I have only myself to blame. I can see at least 3 ex law enforcement members responding to this thread and all are in the same place. That should be quite indicative.
Regaling stories of knocking teeth is only good for the Pub and never in a court of law. For once it might be good that there is no CCTV.
But if we think you went over the to in your response, you're feet won't touch,
If you decked a guy who had kicked you in the back and was part of a gang, the self defense bit would allow quite a bit of defense.
