Well that's me out of eating couscous ever again, unless it's already in a bought salad. I tolerated it thinking it WAS a grain, but now I know it's just a carbohydrate I won't bother.

It is technically pasta, but not the type of pasta we normally associate with the word.

It is made from semolina flour, rolled into small granules. Most of what we usually think of when we hear "pasta" is made from wheat flour.

But isn't wheat a grain ? Perhaps there's confusion with Pulses, of which quinoa is one.

Are Mumford and Sons totally derivative and boring?
Or am I missing something much deeper?
Every song is just the same. And they are all over my radio at the moment.
I would rather listen to Coldplay or U2 than this rubbish!

Obviously you are. You may find them boring, perfectly reasonable, but describing them as "derivative" is just plain silly.

They are a folk band. I have no idea who you think they are derivative from.

They certainly aren't my favourite band, and they do seem to be a bit one-dimensional. I don't think presenting them as the face of folk is doing any favours to folk music.
