There are at least five or six speed cameras between junctions 16 and 19 on the M6, if I get on at 19 and get straight up to 90mph, and don't drop below that before getting off at 16, could I argue that I should only get one ticket as I've only committed one continuous offence, rather than a ticket from each camera?

No you’d get banned for stupidity

I bought this lamp yesterday. It was £3.15, so quite a bargain, but it didn't come with a bulb. What type of bulb will it need?🤔

Edison screw depending on size it could be a standard or an SES (small Edison screw) how big is the hole ? hard to tell without something to scale it to. I'd hazard a guess at an Edison screw 'reflecter' type bulb.

How can homeless people take out smart phone contracts? They'll need one to access medical services once the new digital ID cards come in.

It's difficult to measure it with a metal retractable tape measure with it being in its shade, but I've done my best and it looks 1 inch across.

Well I certainly will not be getting a 'smart phone'

I cannot believe that is going to be a requirement, but that is what reports say.

And since it is going to be compulsory, if it does require a smart phone, that mean they would also be compulsory.

Which is utterly ridiculous, if true.

Though the BBC report does say "The practicalities of the scheme will be subject to a consultation, which will also look at how to make it work for those without a smartphone or passport."

I help out at Age UK helping people with IT things

I have helped several people who do not want a "smart Phone" for various reasons

but I am sure all that will be thought out and sorted
If only because the media will be out looking for pensioners and disabled people who are messed up by it when the details come out

I can see the Age UK IT help service being swamped with helping people get it sorted out ina few years - at the moment it is the NHS app - but this will come along and take over I reckon

Only the Gods know how my Mum and Dad would have coped with it - Dad was blind and in a wheelchair - Mum had dementia

still - as I said - I am sur eit will all be sorted out - somehow

It is not the lack of knowledge, I passed my UCDL* course but I will not have anything that tracks my location every minute and takes away money better spent elsewhere.

* European Computer Driving Licence.................I am IT literate but I object to being followed and tracked every minute, not because I'm doing anything 'wrong' just on principle. :cursing:
