Why is Buck House not built in Buckingham or, in fact, Buckinghamshire?
Well, they were going to, but, Cowboy Builders, in'nit? 🤷‍♂️
It was originally the home of the Duke of Buckingham in part of its present form then aquired by Charles the 111 as a retreat for Queen Charlotte, first monarch to live there permanently was Queen Victoria and Prince Albert did extensive extensions (dab hand with the DIY)
It was called Buckingham House before becoming a Royal Palace.
