This morning I was going to collect a little something from Ribble bikes and decided to cycle the 30 mile round trip. Which took me through Blackburn town centre around 08:30 am. I was climbing a busy hill, when a Range Rover driven with the man on the mobile phone, caught me on my upper arm with the nearside door mirror as he squeezed past..
I caught him at the red lights at the top, not intentionally. When I moved his mirror in..The nearside widow dropped and he asked me what I was doing. I replied that I thought you wanted your mirror adjusting and couldn't reach the remote mirror switch because you were using one hand to use the mobile, and didn't want to let go of the steering wheel with the other hand in case you veered in to a cyclist or something..
He replied only just caught you and Its not like I knocked you off.
Didn't reply with anything out loud but certainly thought it.....Especially when I noticed the car was sporting a cycle carrier on the back doors..Hope he doesn't come across any Range Rover drivers who can't judge the width of the gap, when he is out and about on his bike...
