From The Deck of Cards:
When I count the spots in a deck of cards,
I find 365, the number of days in a year.
There are 52 cards, the number of weeks in a year .
There are thirteen tricks, the number of weeks in a quarter.
There a four suits, the number of weeks in a month.
And twelve picture cards, the number of months in a year.

What are the spots? There are four suits and 4 into 365 does not compute.

Contrary to popular belief, thumbs aren’t considered fingers. They are digits, but not fingers and they are responsible for 50 percent of the function of our hands. A lot of work goes into the control of this important opposable digit. In fact, nine individual muscles, all of which are managed by three major hand nerves, control the thumb.

Peace: The governments of India and Pakistan, for having their diplomats surreptitiously ring each other's doorbells in the middle of the night, and then run away before anyone had a chance to answer the door.

There are 66 recognised books in the bible.
Unless you accept the Douay version, in which case there are 73.
When cathotholism ruled then the Douay was 'the' version.
Then Martin Luther came along and decided there were 7 books he didn't like.

The bible was written in 300AD. How did they remember who said and did what in the absence of meaningful historical records?
Sorry to be pedantic (if that is the word).
It was written over a period of approx 1500+ years with Moses kicking it off 1500 BC.
I think it was John that finished it with Revelation approx 40 AD.
However, I agree with your point about historical accuracy.

Well, the various parts of it "may" have been written over the period you state, but the bible wasn't compiled until the Council of Nicea in AD 325. Even then three of the gospels are almost identical, and a fifth gospel that said something completely different was dispensed with.

The Church not telling the truth? Who would ever think that?

You could also add that there is still great debate about the Crucifixion. Many learned scholars feel the there was a serious massaging of events. Some say the the body was taken down with unusual haste, before death and it was spirited away. Three gospels would have us believe differently, but I tend to follow Mandy Rice Davies....they would say that, wouldn't they?
