Popular children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig has been blocked from an online video channel in China after becoming associated with a “gangster” subculture.

The censorship came after Peppa’s likeness became popular with a subculture of internet users known as "shehuiren" or “society people - a group who some say hold “anti-establishment views” and “gangster” attitudes.

He must have made a fortune in the royalties paid on Mein Kampf. Every newly wed couple in Nazi Germany were given a copy paid for by the State.

He also got royalties from the use of his image on stamps. It was plenty to fund various pet projects.

Cows have regional accents like humans, language specialists have suggested.

They decided to examine the issue after dairy farmers noticed their cows had slightly different moos, depending on which herd they came from.

John Wells, Professor of Phonetics at the University of London, said regional twangs had been seen before in birds.

The world record for a car to clock up 100,000 miles is just 30 days.
The car was a Mercedes E320 driven 24 hours a day by a team of drivers.
Even with pit stops and maintenance the average speed for the 30 days was 138mph.

English Law does not prohibit a man from marrying his grandmother.

It does if the grandmother is deceased.

France is one of the few places in the world where necrogamy is still legal. The living spouse must get the approval of the nation’s President and Justice Minister. A simple ceremony is then held in which the bride or groom stands beside a photo of their significant other. The phrase “till death do us part” is eliminated from the vows and “I do” is replaced with saying “I did.”

You probably don’t want to test this one out, but your stomach acid is seriously strong. Several studies have found the contents of your stomach could do a serious number on a razor blade.

To put it into perspective, your blood has a pH level of around 7.4., which is slightly alkaline. On the other hand, your stomach acid is around a pH level of 1 or 2, which is highly acidic. And you can thank your stomach’s protective lining for not damaging itself with its acidity.

Because the dates are set by the week, not the day, the week ends on a Saturday, so all that week’s production will have a Saturday date.
However,
According to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 8601, Sunday is the seventh day of the week, not the first.

The 1845 Enclosure Act, made it illegal for people to live in caves within Nottingham. However, many people still had to find somewhere to live.

"Areas outside the city had caves [and they] became like shanty towns," he said. "Some caves had proper frontages, others had a sheet of metal over the front, no fresh air, sanitation, nothing."

On the London Underground, it is illegal to stand in areas marked for the opposite gender.

Specifically: "No person above the age of ten years shall enter, attempt to enter or remain in any part of the railway which is marked or notified as being for the exclusive use of persons of the opposite gender to that person."
