It's the Oscar goody bags that get me. Electronic toys, expensive perfumes, free massage sessions, free holidays in Bali, all freebies for folk who are hardly short of a few quid to begin with. It's obscene. If the luvvies meant a single word that they said about whatever socio-political stance they've taken today, they'd say "sod it, save the money, and donate it to the good cause in question in my name." The tough talk rarely, with a few notable exceptions, goes as far as the folding in their wallets.
