I've seen a few interesting things recently, I stopped to eat my butties at Aysgarth Falls in Yorkshire and watched two young stoats playing on the opposite side of the river for nearly half an hour. Bloomin marvellous. I left before they did.

I saw this sign in Langwathby on the same ride (different day):-

I also saw one of these, same ride (another different day):-

Was that picture taken on the A614 by any chance Longers? Only just seen it now, but i recognise that for some reason. It must be in that sort of an area?

I don't know the road number but it was very close to Thieves Wood if that's any help.

BTW - do you plan on cycling further than say, a hundred miles while on holiday, before thursday?

I thought longers was staying there in the woods, something to do about not being lonely:wacko:

Wasnt far off with my guess. Was a tad easy though, there are a load of pig farms along there.

Anyway enough about that. If you two want to talk about your other hobby then I'm sure there are specialist websites for you.

I saw a vole in Ashton-U-Lyne yesterday. It very nearly went under my front wheel and then had a lucky escape with a car before deciding to not cross the road after all. Are they rare or is that the water vole?

I saw a group of visiting clergymen this morning waiting for the lock to close so we could get across Shoreham harbour this morning. One of them asked how we get across and my mate said, 'we use the bridge but you blokes might have another method.'

Hi all. Saw a Little Egret on the marsh as I rode along the shore road yesterday. Was about fifteen foot away, gone when I came back 'bout an hour later. I will look out for it tomorrow.
