Reviving this thread as it's time to replace the 32t chain ring, currently £23 on ebay 
Since first posting I've got around the issue by buying complete cranksets, one Octalink and one square taper, and currently have 3 LX cranks
Just thought I'd ask if anyone's found other compatible chain rings before I bite the bullet?
