Those of us in our 60's can you remember when teenagers sat in the bath wearing their new jeans,a similar sort of idea.
How would that make shoes fit better?

I didn't get them due to thinking that if you got it wrong you've ruined the shoes but after talking to a friend who's got some he told me you can simply put them back in the oven and re-do them

You can reheat and remold them as many times as you want, but, and i was warned in the shop, do not overheat them.

Questions: do you need to wrap your feet in tinfoil? 70C is quite hot.
What happens if the shoes get soaked in the rain?

Well...............................can you still get them on your feet, @Peteaud ?

Yes, and i have to say the right one is now spot on, the left, hmmmm, might need to re-do it.

70 is not that hot, the gas was on 0.5 setting and you can just pick them out with your hands. put the insoles back in and then stick in your foot, with a sock on. warm but not silly hot.

In the rain, they get wet.

Ha ha, what I meant is: do the shoes lose their shape if they get a soaking, then you have to do the oven thing again?

No you dont have to re mold them, but you can put them in at a lower heat to dry them out.

They are not cheap but i have stupidly wide feet and this is my final attempt at finding some decent cycle shoes that dont cause me pain or numb feet.
