I have a 2004 BMW 525Msport estate. 170k on the clock had it 11 years. Crikey never again. All the electrics are up the spout arm and leg to get it sorted. It was the first run of the new shape back then and you can tell. iDrive works when it feels like it. Sat Nav and Bluetooth gave up yonks ago. Keeps telling me I have a puncture when I have haven't. Seat Belt and Airbag lights are on until I can be bothered to reset them. This is caused by me detaching the battery as the fecker keep running my £100 new battery flat overnight. Intermittently the indicator cancel stops working. It goes on but still drives like a dream!! :-)

I leave it at work most of the time nowadays and use it to pop out and get breakfast after my ride in. Only did 1200 miles in it last year.

My ex Wife had a few quid (company director) and bought me a new 730iSE. Almost constant central locking and bulb warning issues from mile zero. Then her near new R32 had a dashboard fire.

Give me a nice reliable old French nail any day
