My recently acquired Boardman Hybrid Comp was always going to be my winter bike – got the Marathon Winters fitted today, and it looks like just in time too as the forecast for next week is chilly to say the least... Bring. It. On.

Guy at work rides one of those, although hes not pimped it, i sometimes think about offering my MTB as swap as i do like the look of the carrera.

I had the Gryphon V Spec (£239 paid new at Halfords in 2010 for the 60cm model) heavy bike 13kg plus, bomb proof though. Sold it to a commuter and used the money for other projects including this. Now looking for some Crud Racers for winter.

This is mine. It used to be a hybrid but i stripped it down and put drops on it.

It's heavy but bomb-proof and has enough clearance to take my snow studs (which are getting fitted tonight looking at the forecast)

it's an 'optical illusion'. due to the wide(ish) angle lens, it's not really like that
