I've never heard of "the people of walmart" now I have to check it out.....unfortunately it's probably true but you can't judge all of us on the Wally Worlders they are a breed unto their own.

Echo is my middle name, my first name is too frilly for me and no one can pronounce it anyways. Haven't gone by it since I was maybe 7. One day I'm gonna drop it legally and change my last name to Morgan. My mom was a hippy she had to have a unique name. I hated Echo as a kid..... love it now.

change your first name to Echo .... Echo Echo....now that would be a cool name.

Fab idea.
Just for the record then, the People of Walmart website does not depict Normal America does it? Please tell me it doesn't or I might be too afraid to ever visit the States again.

How did you end up with a cool name like Echo?
My mate Danie wrote a book where the main character is called Echo but you sound way nicer than the book character.
People of Wal Mart does not predict Normal. People of Wal Mart depicts the most frightening side of the States. This is Normal:

Those buildings are awfully nice must be a decent part of town . Nothing so nice here. Unless I head over to Clemson University... campus may be small but it's pretty.
Horse drawn carriages are NOT normal, typical tourist attraction though in certain cities.... SUV's with chatty cell phones much more common.

I think I'm going to start an album, whenever the moderators deem me appropriate enough to post photos, called Normal America. Will try to remember to take pix of normal everyday things here just for you guys. Since this is a highly international forum (very unusual). Might even get a few pix of cyclists I see (especially on Sundays) real popular to ride down my road on Sunday.

You don't have to stick to an album you can post a picture or two in any of your posts.

I speak French. Didn't know the etymology of dressage but freedictionary came up with this:

[French, preparation, training, dressage, from dresser, to set up, arrange, train, from Old French drecier, to set up, arrange; see dress.]

I wouldn't even begin to try to pin down the different connotations of the French verb dresser.
 Get a grip, Chris. "Dressing to the right / left etc" is another one of "those things" that are soooooo confusing. Translated into French-ish/ Spanish, I suppose that could come out as 'Droit du signor' or, if it was a particularly gauche bloke 'droit du seigneur'. Often wondered what a 'gauche du seigneur' has in store for the recipient!
(Is this enough welcome yet, 'Sia' - for that is now your name for the moment.)
