The last time this happened - may I add with the same company - the bike was sent back after a ride due to problems I encountered. I hope this isn't the case this time around but I can't help but think this is wrong again. It may be transit I accept that but last time - the first time as this is the 2nd bike they've sent out - the company accepted the defects pointed out by the LBS I took it too.

MR, do you mean you'd bought an earlier bike that had issues .... but you went back to them to buy this bike? Which company is it? ...just so we know.

Put the bike in big ring and a middle sprocket. Post pictures here of side and of a rear view but low down and level with the middle of the cage from the rear. We need the cage extended to see properly.

No, they sent me the first bike which had a dodgy chain and a bent mech hanger which they are disputing BUT, they sent me a brand new bike which arrived yesterday. So I didn't go back a second time Arch no. This time the bike looks to have had the rear mech damaged in transit and the company agreed on the strength of the photo above...I know it's not brilliant.

The rear mech above is 105 and due to all the grief they've agreed to send me an Ultegra rear mech and spare mech hanger instead.

Fossy, thanks but it's definitely bent and has already been sorted. I'll wait for the mech to arrive and then take it to fit with LBS and if there are other problems I'll name then.

Well done MR... see, I thought I'd got the wrong end of the stick, and I had... [nothing new there then!] Pleased you're getting things sorted out and if anything improved along the way.

I remember taking a delivery from TNT at work a few years ago. Our box was under a boxed bike, the driver picked up the bike and launched it out the back of the lorry, then after retrieving ours threw it back in. Made me wince.

The chain also again looks dubious - it shows under 75% but I seem to be able to move it from side to side a little too easy. And it rubs against the front derailleur on the smallest chain wheel.
