Today I had a Ctrl-Alt-Delete moment and had to completely reset my street art scanning parameters. The reboot worked and I spent the afternoon feeling like Gulliver in Lilliput, and once I had my eye in, a cycle around Columbia Road and its side streets revealed an insight into the life of some East End Borrowers
.
What I mean of course is a total change of scale. I'm quite impressed my middle aged peepers managed to see them. After seeing the first one I found myself focused on looking down at skirting board level, and found a whole new world. They are a mix of paste up and paint or spray, and I think they're great, something totally different. Here's the first one, Gulliver's bike

And the of course East End Borrowers are achingly cool and drive around in classic Beetles.

The winter nights are drawing in, lucky the fires can be kept going with all the dried autumn leaves.

And this last one is the my favourite, the painting around the figures on both the wall and pavement made it really stand out, so despite it being so small it was surprisingly easy to see at glance. The light and the shadows in this are excellent, and as my bike is so huge we have a leaf for scale in this one.
