Deep section wheels, probably....quiet they are not.
Maybe it was the guy on the bike at the thought of having emptied 10k out of his account.
Though on a side note. One sound I encountered on this years DD ride which i will never forget was a guy who had carbon rims that would make a sound like a jet or turbine engine winding down every time he braked.
That'll be deep section carbon wheels for you.
I could have had him, but I didn't want to leave @Salty seadog behind. I'd have probably needed more than 67" though :-)
You're too kind sir.
Just looked it up at Sigma sports Cervelo P5X starting at £10.499
The only thing that could ever make me ride that fast would be the desperate need to get away from that noise....
Doesn't hold a candle to my Raleigh Magnum. I've got gold mudguards.
Ugly as sin. It hurts my eyes and stomach.
Mind you I could get £5 off at Sigma if I spend over £30......
Ah! I was out of the country...would have loved to be there!
Whens the next one?
Usually second Sunday of the month. So 14 January, weather permitting.
I'm planning a Sunday London Ride Goes To The Movies edition. That'll likely be March when there's a chance of better weather, although second Sunday of March is Mother's Day, so it might need to be the week before or after. Details to follow in a couple of weeks.
Sounds interesting...be great if you could avoid the 25th as I'm away
Anyone out on Sunday? Ally Pally?
