The date happened. She was lovely and we both had the same wacky sense of humour and personality. We discussed ex's, marriage, children and how to split up. Then I asked her out and she said yes.

Yesssssss!
Here's a cup of tea for when you finish bouncing off the walls! ;)

I'm not so much bouncing off the walls as ready for some sleep. I am exhausted by all the work and the pursuit of a relationship. If I wasn't at work sneaking online then I would be happily dozing with a Cheshire cat grin on my face.

And it was tea in the end rather then coffee.

Lots of people on Tea thread have cats. How do you give a cat a bath?
I used to have a white cat, but now he is black and white. His name was smudge when I got him as a three (approx) year old from Cats Protection League. Changed his name to Leo, big mistake. He seem determined to prove how he got his name. His favourite trick seems to be walking under vehicles and getting oily sticky sooty stuff all down his back on the "tallest bit".

Wearing a suit of armour!

We had cats when I was growing up (didn't get very far) and AFAIK we never washed any of our cats!

However, last year, whilst I was looking after two cats, I was asked by their owners to wash them 2-3 times in the year that I had them, and they loved it; no problems at all.

Plax, from wot you posted on the fred about "You know you're getting older when..... ", I think perhaps you should see The a Doctor.;)

LOL! He should be home now I'd say, and probably sleeping after I dragged him up the Llanberis Pass (it was his idea - honest!).
The carrot cake in Pete's Eat's was very nice, I found it quite amusing that the piece they gave TheDoctor was HUGE, about twice the size of my piece. Just as well he had the big piece, I struggled with mine and had to leave a bit . You know, I find that they do this a lot - in the works canteen they give me a piddly portion, and the blokes get a huge plate full, and then charge the same amount of money! I think they should give us ladies a discount!!!
The weather held up nicely and I don't know about TheDoctor, but I have a spot of sunburn.
All in all a very enjoyable day, TheDoctor is a lovely chap, and I don't think I've traumatised him that much.

After your ride today and the thorough drenching in the rain he got visiting me last Wednesday, I think we have to recognise TheDoctor as one of the most masochistic cyclists on this forum.

It's kinda lucky there are no forummers between Paris & Dakar or else he'd ride that too. Maybe not. There are very few cake stops on that run!!

Glad to hear you had a good day Plax, meeting with the Doc' is always a pleasure and 'boooo' to sexual inequality in the cake portion dept.

Evenings all!

That Plax is a bit handy on hills. I can see that the only way to get good at Welsh climbs is to move to Wales. I did manage to get up Llanberis Pass but I was losing the will to live struggling somewhat for the last mile or so.

I have to say - everyone I've met off CC has been a complete delight. I had a great day with Plax and I'll certainly try and meet up next time I'm in North Wales. Anyone who can find the Mother Of All Portions of Carrot Cake is a Good Sort in my book. I can only put my lack of climbing form down to excessive snackage in Llanberis. Or the fact that I'd done Sychnant Pass the day before.

Nice one Night Train, so when's the next hot date?
We can't seem to be able to syncronise our diaries except for an over night which is a bit rubbish this soon into the relationship. It might just end up being another Sunday morning cuppa, could be romantic but could also get rather frustrating after a while.

As to washing cats, they don't wash very well unless they have been taught to tollerate it as a kitten. Failing that teach the cat to chase a toy mouse that has been thrown into the empty bath and then one day put a few inches of water in the bath. While drying the cat off any muck can be cleaned at the same time.
