@gbrown - from memory the leagues would add time to a ride if not completed in a live race situation - do you know if this still happens ?
Not that I'm aware of, but then I'm not aware that it ever did!

I like receiving the emails almost as much as sending them! All good banter and motivation. Definately one of bkool's plus points.
Monte what brand of turbo tyre was it that warped? Sounds like it's worth avoiding![]()
Excellent news well done although would have been even quicker on the last chain gang with a bit more pork.Despite my moaning about not making any gains recently I have managed to hit one target I set myself.
1 stone lost since I got on the bike.
Another .5 to go and I will be very happy - think this might be a bit harder though.

Right - goals readjusted.Well done, It came off in waves with me, started at 15 stone, got to 14 fairly quickly, stuck there for a few months, then it dropped to 13.5, again stuck for months then from there it was steady until 12.5 stone, which is where I have been for the last year and a bit, but I don't want to lose any more as at 6'3" it is slap bang in the middle of the nhs ideal weight.
Yep. Being doing it as its being dropping. Need all the help I can get.Well done!
Have you adjusted your weight on bkool?
I guess thats the downside.Excellent news well done although would have been even quicker on the last chain gang with a bit more pork.

I'm going for 12.5 then. Started at 15 as well - now 14.
This time next year.
EDIT - on hindsight this might be a bit ambitious.
I swapped to a turbo specific tyre as using a standard road tyre on a chaingang course, similar to last Thursday course (fast rolling) and the tyre must of got so hot it warped the tyre out of shape.
Small confession I swapped chain rings for Thursday's course, fitted a standard set up 53/39.
..... he's in a better place now, where he is out of painI'm sorry Mrs Whorty it really is the kindest thing for him. Now would you like to take him home to bury him under the pear tree or would you like us to get the chap from the glue factory to come and pick him up?

6'3" and 12.5 stone????? i'm 5'8" and 13.6 stoneWell done, It came off in waves with me, started at 15 stone, got to 14 fairly quickly, stuck there for a few months, then it dropped to 13.5, again stuck for months then from there it was steady until 12.5 stone, which is where I have been for the last year and a bit, but I don't want to lose any more as at 6'3" it is slap bang in the middle of the nhs ideal weight.
I think i've spotted why i'm slower on the rides than others - short fat legs
